Insoliti noti. Bavaglio canguro

Un’altro punto a favore di chi comincia a preoccuparsi di come vengono trattati i diritti della comunicazione in giro per il mondo “occidentale”. Cina, Iran bloccano o limitano la libertà di comunicazione in rete ? Nessuna novità. Cane morde uomo: nessuna notizia. Ma se è l’uomo a mordere un cane ? La notizia è rilevante. I filtri pianificati dal governo australiano per impedire la fruizione di materiali illegali potrebbero degradare le prestazioni e bloccare accesso a siti legittimi. Al solito gli intenti sono buoni. Ma si sa cosa si lastrica con le buone intenzioni…

GPSed!

Sono venuto in Sicilia per dare una mano nel trasferimento in città alla fine della bella stagione lasciando la casa in campagna fino alla prossima primavera. Io ho fatto un po’ il camallo e ho portato masserizie varie in macchina. Per gioco ho cominciato ad usare GPSed un software scritto in Java che si interfaccia al GPS del cellulare e permette di visualizzare su una mappa condivisa la propria posizione. Durante tutti i tragitti ho anche inaugurato una track che tiene il conto dei miei movimenti.

Worked all saturday long, final agreement with her: “ok, pizza this night”. Took the bike. Just came out out the garage and it rains cats and dogs… Left the bike and took the car. In late. Finally, in a hurry, got to the pizzeria. I’m pretty mad at the entire world… At the end of dinner what next ? A film! “Il divo” was sold out. So we decided to watch “Be kind rewind” . Well. How a really really nice film can change your way of looking at the world. Fast, amusing, smart it shakes you. One of the best films I’ve seen in these years. Definitely, watch it!

Robert Capa, as Carter-Bresson is a legend for any photojournalist or simply photo amateur, as me. His lost negatives have been found. There are, among others, the negatives of the so called “Falling soldier”. the NYT has an article sayng a lot of about the story.

They claim we’re driving the planet to death. Such small, egotist and pathetic and little apes… We are driving only ourselves to death and, incidentally, some other species…

Di pancia si dice, quando senti qualcosa dentro, quando non e’ che tu lo capisca benissimo ma alla fine lo capisci completamente, non solo con la testa, ma di pancia. Appunto. Per me e’ uno di quei momenti in cui tenti di decidere se il momento sia un po di sole prima di altra pioggia. O se, invece, sia un sole duraturo. Beh, alla fine un sole sara’ sempre tra due piogge e una pioggia tra due soli. Scherzetto ?

I’m pretty engaged on a nearly-roleplay-game involving vampires and werewolves fighting each other. Funny, at present I’m an ugly vampire – Algomanerius – going around to get blood and gold, stealing gold pieces from werewolves and working in a cemetery as lawnmower man!
